For many years he was a Distinguished Visiting Professor and Consultant in Dermatology at the Rutgers University of New Jersey, Newark, NJ, USA, and at the Newark Chapter of Sigma Xi. He recently served as Assistant Dean for Graduate Medical Education at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi. Before joining Khalifa University, he was Division Chief of Dermatology at SEHA’s Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC), Program Director of the Arab Board Dermatology Residency Program, and Adjunct Full Professor Medicine at UAE University in Al Ain. For the last six years, Professor Zbigniew has been a Co-President and Chairman of the Case & Poster Presentation Sessions and Competition at the International Dubai Dermatology Conference (Dubai Derma), one of the most significant dermatology events worldwide. He is the Founder and Chairman of the annual International Pediatric Dermatology Conferences (IPDC), the only platform of this kind in the MENA region. The 5th edition this year attracted over 3000 participants from 74 countries and 27 distinguished international speakers. Recently, Prof. Zbigniew was elected the Chairman of the Pediatric Dermatology Division at the Arab Academy of Dermatology and Esthetics. Prof. Ruszczak presented over 500 lectures at national and international conferences, published over 125 peer-reviewed papers in international journals, and numerous book chapters. He is Associate Editor of the “Dermatologic Therapy” journal, a leading dermatology journal published by John Willey & Sons, and a reviver The Journal of American Academy of Dermatology (JAAD), Journal of European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (JEADV), JAMA, International Journal of Dermatology, and Cutis, among others. Prof. Ruszczak main fields of interest are clinical dermatology, allergy diagnosis and treatment, genetic skin diseases, wound management, and galenic formulation of drugs.
