He received his MD degree in 1979 from Cairo University in Egypt and completed his residency program there in 1983, later receiving an MSc. H continued his postgraduate work at Wayne State University College of Medicine in Detroit, from which he received a PhD. In 2005, he was awarded the FRCP (Glasgow).

He is a Past President of the European Society for Dermatology and Psychiatry, Past president of the International Forum for the Study of Itch and a current President of the Polish Dermatological Society. He is an author or co-author of more than 800 scientific articles, 17 books, more than 80 book chapters and more than 300 congress communications. His index “h” (Web of Science) is 62.

Khalil Alhamdi MD
